Surf City's First Distillery

A New Year's Toast from the Coast!

Written by SurfWriter Girls Sunny Magdaug and Patti Kishel

Name your poison. Whether it's vodka, gin, bourbon or rum, you can toast the New Year in beach chic style with spirits from Huntington Beach's Surf City Still Works, the first distillery to open in the coastal community.

Founded by Josh and Elena Kornoff, a husband-and-wife team with a passion for handcrafted quality cocktails, Surf City Still Works has a clear purpose in mind – to bring craft distilling to Huntington Beach, celebrate the art of mixology, and support local artists.

Each custom-designed spirit has a beach-themed name and surf-inspired label that is a work of art: Shorebreak Vodka, California Gin, Pierside Bourbon, Surfrider Rum.

Open for tastings and private events, Surf City Still Works gives you a first-hand view of the distillery equipment and aging whisky barrels.

And, when you've drained the last drop from the bottles you take home, you'll have an artwork to display on your shelf or mantel.

 Happy New Year!
